Model SS8 Electric Locomotive

   The Model SS8 Electric Locomotive is a semi high-speed passenger locomotive with the empty core shaft transmission system. The overhaul technologic renovation of this locomotive is to improve its technologic level. We adopt some new technology such as the control system Logic Control Unit (LCU) and the brake system logic control system (DKL), and use some new products such as vacuum breaker and high voltage separating switch. We also renovate the empty core shaft sheath, the sixth connecting bar on the empty core shaft, sweeping stone equipment on the car body. We solve some quality problems in the using process to improve the products quality and make convenience for the users. We carried out and completes the overhaul renovation of the Model SS8 Electric Locomotive. It has characteristics as followings:
1.  Adopting phase control pressure-adjusting with uneven three-section phase half control bridge on the main electric system. The bogie generator is shunt-wound power supply. Adopting stepless magnetic field impairing circuit to realize stepless speed adjusting on the all running process.
2.  Adopting the control system logic control unit (LCU) and the brake system logic control unit (DKL), and using non-touch point electric equipment to substitute having touch point ones to improve the credibility.
3.  Adopting computer control system and having functions of the locomotive malfunction storage and display.
4.  Adopting vacuum main breaker and air-bag pantograph.
5.  Having the locomotive power supply system to provide power to the air-conditioner, heating, and illumination.
6.  There are air-conditioner, heater, wall stove and foot stove in the cabin to improve the working condition.
